There are a number of Home Office publications available that provide crime prevention advice. A list of those that are domestic burglary specific can be found below.

Some leaflets are available in other formats (i.e. audio cassette, large print and Braille). Some are available in other languages.

  • Home Security – an introduction to domestic surveying
    A comprehensive, easy to use training package which includes an interactive CD-Rom and a handy sized booklet. You will learn how to carry out crime prevention surveys on domestic properties. It has been designed for non-specialists who have no previous experience of crime prevention but will also prove useful for everyone, no matter what level of knowledge or experience they have. * This package is no longer available to order. However, you can still download the CD-Rom and the booklet.
