Association of Chief Police Officers
The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) was set up over 50 years ago so that work in developing policing policies could be undertaken in one place, on behalf of the Service as a whole, rather than in 44 forces separately.

National Extremism Tactical Coordination Unit (NETCU)
NETCU is a national policing unit that promotes a coordinated response to domestic extremism by providing tactical advice to the police service, and information and guidance to industry and government. NETCU's focus is primarily animal rights extremism and related policing issues. The unit is funded by the Home Office and responsible to ACPO(TAM).
Off Duty
Off Duty was established in 1996 following work done on the pre-retirement needs of police officers. The website provides a range of services which cannot be found elsewhere in the UK. Any serving or retired police officer can access information, advice and articles of value and interest on many different topics, from probation to retirement and beyond.
Police Federation of England and Wales
The Police Federation of England and Wales is the representative body to which every police officer below the rank of Superintendent belongs. It was established to provide the police with a means of bringing their views on welfare and efficiency to the notice of the government and the police authorities.
