Tasking & Co-ordination
The central element of the intelligence discipline is the Tasking and Coordination
process, the point of which is to achieve the maximum impact from finite resources.
To do this the partnership managers must have a good view of the real nature of
the problems they face and a mechanism for decision making which identifies priorities,
the resources required and the commissioning of action. The tasking and coordination
process is that mechanism and the meeting is the pivot of the process.
The tasking and coordination process has two levels:
- strategic; and
- practical.
